The complexity of expressive behaviour, between emotional forms and vocal gestures

This contribution aims to investigate the analogies between emotional episodes and enunciative activity based on two epistemological assumptions. On one hand, enunciation and emotional episodes will be examined as complex systems. On the other hand, a theoretical framework will be reconstructed, tracing a line from Merleau-Ponty's phenomenology to Fonagy's psychophonetics, to demonstrate how a dynamic theory of language must account for the reciprocal modeling relationships between emotion and language.
